If you see a private clinician, any medication they recommend should usually be prescribed privately by them.
💊 Prescriptions
GP practices are not required to issue NHS prescriptions following a private appointment.
🔁 Prescription changes
We do not routinely convert private prescriptions into NHS prescriptions.
⚖️ Fair access
Choosing private care will not affect your NHS treatment.
🔒 Clear separation
NHS‑funded care and privately funded care must remain separate.
